Frequently asked questions

Is the document signer free?
Yes. Signing a PDF yourself is completely free and runs in your browser. Sending documents out for signature is also free — you just need a free QikDrive account so signers know who the request is from.
Do signers need a QikDrive account?
No. Signers receive an email with a secure link, open the document, sign and submit — no account or app required.
Are my documents uploaded when I sign a PDF myself?
No. In "Sign yourself" mode everything happens locally in your browser. Only the "Request signatures" mode stores the document securely so your signers can access it.
How do I know when everyone has signed?
You get an email each time a signer completes, and once the last signature is in, the final signed PDF is emailed to you and every signer automatically.
Are electronic signatures legally valid in India?
Electronic signatures are recognised under the Indian IT Act, 2000 for most business documents like contracts, NDAs and invoices. Certain documents (e.g. wills, property deeds) still require handwritten signatures — check your specific use case.
